How to Help

First of all, thank you for your concern and your strength. There are a lot of things you can do to help Luke. We will try to  list a few of them but there may be other things you can think of that we can’t!

  • FINANCIALLY

Luke needs money. Money for legal defense, for commissary funds, for bail if/when it’s posted etc. If you have any money to donate, you could send it here. Thank you so much for your generosity.

  • LEGALLY

If you are a witness please contact us. You can email us at letlukego@gmail.com
We can give you the information for Luke’s lawyer and you can submit your testimony to them. Anyone who witnessed the event should strongly consider doing this – it could save Luke. If you are not a witness but know Luke than please consider contacting us anyway to send Luke’s legal defense a “character witness.”

  •  SOCIALLY

A lot of people have been doing their part to spread the word and that’s been really incredible. Please continue spreading the word to people you know through whatever means you have. Also, please consider writing Luke a letter or sending him a book. A key function of jails/prisons is to isolate the prisoner from society and those they love. We can minimize that isolation. Please consider the following for sending letters:

“All mail is required to be mailed using the actual US Postal Service, and not courier or delivery, or hand delivered. You shouldn’t use any other form of mail or package delivery. Clearly print the prisoner’s name, inmate ID, and the jail address on the outside of the letter that you send. Do not mail anything in a box or package, padded envelope, plastic bag, or an envelope with metal inside. Any mail sent to inmates is opened and reviewed by the jail administration, and will be returned if the jail decides it is inappropriate.”

Also, do not use white-out, glitter, or glue inside of your letter. Limit letters to 5 pieces of paper or less.
